DMDE (DM Disk Editor and Data Recovery) - reviews

At the end of the disk there was a 2+ megabyte unpartitioned area. I decided that there was 2 gigabytes, and from the Acronis boot disk I added this unallocated area to the 1.76 TB partition. Eventually Acronis gave me an error. The partition got bigger, but was no longer readable (RAW file system). The free, portable version of DMDE had reconstructed my partition in a couple of seconds, even without notification like the operation was completed. I just had to reboot my PC to make the partition readable, that's all! Great software, I recommend it!

A registered copy of the program version 2.4.4, when you mark a folder, restores this folder with its subfolders without files in it and in subfolders. What the hell? Am I the only one or someone else with this stuff?

When creating a new partition on HDD with Acronis (a bug!), the boundaries of other partitions got messed up. As a result, Videos, Music, Photos were lost and were not detected even by such software as R.saver, Recover MyFiles. Next we tested the following available programs: - TestDisk scans disk, partitions very long - didn't even wait for the end and closed the utility. - Wondershare Data Recovery takes too long to scan the disk. Lost partitions for some reason is shown in 3 copies, then also long scans found partitions, and in the folders all the files are posted in 2 or 3 copies, and 1 copy of them is absolutely non-working! So, after data recovery using WDR you will need to filter all copied information and delete 50% of files, or better - delete them irretrievably. (If you have 100 to 200 gb of missing data, imagine how much work you will have to do!) - DMDE 2.4.4 scans a 640gb disk in 5 sec! Finds and unlocks all lost partitions in 3 to 5 seconds! Restores data to another hard drive very fast (5 sec. for a music album), and in the original folder with the original name (without any additional folders with long numeric names). In this situation DMDE is the best option for recovery of the lost information. The Free version recovers only 1 file per operation. DMDE Home license for one OS for 1 year costs 250 rubles (+ approx. 15 rubles for VAT). You can pay for it at Allsoft via SMS. The whole procedure of registration, purchase, getting the key, activation code takes about 30-35 minutes. So if the above mentioned and other free software does not solve your problem, buy DMDE, you will not miss it. Good luck to all.

For partition table recovery, it was the best possible solution. The partition was restored in a few minutes without much painful data re-copying. Kudos to the authors.
