Need an Android app? This is the archive. Over 10,000 apps and games — from Instagram clones to sandbox adventures, VPN tools to photo editors. All available as APK files you can sideload directly to your device.
Why download here instead of the Play Store? Sometimes you need an older version. Sometimes an app isn't available in your region. Sometimes you just want options. We keep version archives so you're not stuck with "update or nothing."
Everything here runs through VirusTotal before we list it. Use the categories on the left to filter by type, or sort by popularity to see what everyone else is downloading.
FreeSoft's Android section started back when sideloading APKs was the only way to get apps that weren't on your carrier's store. Things have changed — Play Store is everywhere now — but APK downloads are still useful. Regional restrictions, version rollbacks, and device compatibility issues make direct downloads relevant in 2026.
There are a few reasons people skip the Play Store:
Every APK goes through VirusTotal — that's 70+ antivirus engines scanning for malware. If something flags, we look into it. False positives happen, especially with game mods and cracked apps. But actual malware? That gets removed. We've been doing this since 1998. Clean software is the whole point.
Each app page has version history, screenshots, and user reviews. Check the comments — other users often share device-specific tips that help you decide if an app will work for you.
First, enable "Unknown Sources" in your phone's security settings (Settings → Security → Unknown Sources). Then download the APK file, tap it in your downloads folder, and tap "Install." On Android 8+, you may need to grant permission to your browser or file manager to install apps. The process takes about 30 seconds.
Every APK goes through VirusTotal before we list it — that's 70+ antivirus engines scanning each file. If something flags as malicious, we investigate and remove it if confirmed. We've been doing this since 1998. That said, MOD APKs and modified apps carry inherent risks. We provide VirusTotal results so you can decide for yourself.
Several reasons: you might need an older version that works better on your device, the app might not be available in your country, or you might not want a Google account. Some apps also get removed from the Play Store but still work fine — APK sites keep them available. Version archives are especially useful when updates break features you relied on.
Android blocks app installations from outside the Play Store by default. "Unknown Sources" is the setting that allows you to install APKs directly. It's not dangerous — it just gives you control over what you install. Many legitimate apps (like F-Droid, Amazon Appstore) require this setting. You can disable it after installing what you need.
For online games — yes, there's a risk. Games like PUBG, Free Fire, and Roblox actively detect modified clients and may ban your account. For offline games and apps, there's no risk since there's no server to detect anything. We label MOD APKs clearly and note ban risks where applicable. Use a secondary account if you want to try mods for online games.
Google Play Protect warns about any APK not downloaded from the Play Store. This doesn't mean the file is dangerous — it means Google didn't verify it. If our listing shows a clean VirusTotal scan, the file is safe. Tap "Install anyway" or "More details" → "Install anyway" to proceed. You can also temporarily disable Play Protect in Play Store settings if warnings persist.
