an application that runs in the background and blocks ads using the same list of filters as the browser extension of the same name.

Features of Adblock Plus

Due to restrictions on the traffic filtering system on the Android platform, the utility has different scenarios according to which it acts:

• On a device with administrator rights, the program immediately starts blocking ads, regardless of the types of traffic with which they arrive.
• On non-administrator devices with OS version 3.0 and higher, the application must be reconfigured to assign it the status of a proxy server, which is done manually. For devices that do not support proxy servers, the program is not available.
• Gadgets on Android 3.1 and above, after installing the program will be able to use the filtered traffic received through the Wi-Fi network
• When Android 4.1.2, 4.2.1 and later versions are installed, AdBlockPlus will block ads delivered via Wi-Fi traffic but only after you set up a proxy server.

Compatibility

The application is compatible with smartphones and tablets that run on Android 2.3 and above. The interface has a Russian version, which comes with it.
