The game has no points for passing levels. There are no final bosses and no cute guises for the protagonist. However the lack of these elements is more than compensated by the atmosphere that the developers created.

The atmosphere in Badland is created from the little things. The game has detailed backgrounds. A soundtrack that concentrates not on standard music, but on individual sounds that contribute to immersion in the bizarre world of the game.

Technically, the game is made with the addition of interesting features. It begins as a simple platformer, where the main character must be led through a map with several obstacles. The game then begins to tossing the player various modifiers that affect the character, which adds interest to the playthrough. And when the player gets used to the peculiarities of the game, it turns into a logical puzzle, where a wrong choice can easily lead to defeat.

The game adds a single screen multiplayer mode. In it up to four players can compete for the survival of your character on 30 different maps. Single-player mode is represented by 100 levels, as well as the ability to create your own maps in the editor.
