Gomoku is the Japanese name for the ancient Chinese logic game. The game is played on a board (goban), ruled by lines. The traditional version involves playing on a 19x19 board, while the sporting version uses a 15x15 board. Players take turns putting black and white stones on the board. The goal of the game is for one of the players to build a continuous row of exactly five stones of his color vertically, horizontally or diagonally.
