The international announcement of the flagship Honor 10 took place

16 May 2018
The long-awaited Honor 10 smartphone was finally presented officially. Despite the fact that at home the gadget was announced back in April, the international presentation took place only on May 15, in London. In terms of its contents, the smartphone differs little from the flagship Huawei P20 or P20 Pro, which could have a negative impact on the sales of the younger model, thanks to the significantly lower cost. The hardware basis of the gadget was the same eight-core Kirin 970 processor with a separate module responsible for working with neural network computing. The device has 4 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal memory, depending on the configuration. Unfortunately, it is impossible to expand its capacity with memory cards.Honor 10 boasts a 5.84-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels (Full HD+) with an aspect ratio of 19:9, as well as a 16 and 24MP main camera and a 24MP front. Of course, no Leica is out of the question, but the really unpleasant surprise will be the lack of image stabilization. Nevertheless, thanks to the presence of rich artificial intelligence features, the camera is able to recognize more than 500 types of scenes in 22 categories in real time, which will help improve the quality of pictures. The gadget is enclosed in a body with two glass panels and an aluminum frame. Customers will be available in four color options - classic black, silver, as well as gradient blue and green. Meanwhile, the last two options look very attractive. The new Honor smartphone has support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11ac), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS+GLONASS, NFC, stereo speakers, a 3,400 mAh battery and support for fast charging technology using the USB Type-C port. According to the manufacturer, a full charge of the device will take only 80 minutes. It is worth adding that the gadget runs Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1 shell. Start of sales of the new Honor 10 is scheduled for May 22, but now everyone can pre-order and get a free Honor Monster 2 headphones, Honor Band 3 fitness tracker, a discount on ordering through Delivery Club and a free month of subscription to IVI. The younger version of the smartphone with 64 GB of internal memory is priced at 26990 rubles, while for a more "capacious" smartphone will have to pay 29990 rubles.
