Oppo Watch Challenges Apple Watch

Oppo decided not to play around with small things. It not only introduced new flagships - Find X2 and Find X2 Pro. The company also announced a smartwatch Oppo Watch. This is the first such device in the manufacturer's arsenal.

Oppo Watch impressive features. The gadget delights in the number of unique moments. They are enough to compete with the Apple Watch and other rivals.

By the way, the appearance of Oppo Watch is close to the Apple Watch. The difference in design is not too great. The "stuffing" is another matter. Oppo engineers did their best. First we should note the screen.

The display of the product is frameless and curved. The panel is of the AMOLED type. The size depends on the version. The 41mm has a diagonal of 1.6 inches and a resolution of 320 by 360 dots.

The46-millimeter version is different. Its specs: 1.91 inches and 402 by 478 pixels. In both cases, the case is protected against moisture. Oppo Watch is made of aluminum alloy.

What else is interesting about the device? Oppo did not skimp on two chips - Snapdragon Wear 2500 and Apollo 3. There is no information about what the latter is responsible for. The first one guarantees adequate performance.

TheRAM on board is 1 GB. Among other things, there is a flash drive with a capacity of 8 GB. This is enough to run any application (from the proprietary software store).

Oppo Watch will appeal to athletes and fitness fans. They are able to monitor the user's heart rate. It also monitors sleep, women's monthly cycle and so on.

There is eSIM and GPS. The NFC module is responsible for contactless payments. The battery capacity varies from 300 to 430 mAh. The longest-lasting battery is in the 46 mAh package.

This allows the chronometer to work up to 40 hours (with all active functions). Support for VOOC Flash charging is claimed. It takes 75 minutes to fully "revive" the Oppo Watch.

The OS is ColorOS Watch based on Android. Synchronization with smartphones running Android 6.0 (and better) is available. Creating your own watch faces is offered.

As for the price, it's as follows. The 41mm Oppo Watch will cost $215. For the 46mm they are asking $290. Sales will start on May 24 this year.
