am is a time-tested method, but it is not practical enough in today's environment of tight production deadlines and rapidly changing conditions. The "AM" system offers modern publication planning tools. The ideology of the "AM" layout automation system is quite simple. Users have the ability to create layouts or layout templates, in each of which it is possible to put some set of layout elements (materials, objects, etc.). All texts related to a particular layout are stored in the layout file. Illustrations are not stored in the layout file, only links (paths).

During the session, the user has the ability to save the results achieved, which can later be re-loaded (opened) in the "AM" system. Selection of layouts (layout templates) for editing and other basic operations are performed in the system using the main menu, the control panel. The "AM" system has a graphical interface, standard for Windows applications. Java technology, on the basis of which the system was developed, is multi-platform and works in Windows, Linux and Mac OS.
