Apache JMeter is a free open-source tool designed to test and measure the performance of various static and dynamic resources.

Program description

Despite the fact that the program was initially developed exclusively as a tool for testing web applications, it was further developed and improved to be able to perform load tests for JDBC, FTP, LDAP, SOAP, JMS, POP3, IMAP, HTTP and TCP connections. At the same time, its feature set can be further expanded thanks to an abundance of add-ons.

It's worth noting that in spite of its feature set, JMeter has a fairly simple interface. Among other nice features you can name the presence of a number of built-in templates, which can be useful when creating your own projects, as well as the ability to conduct regression tests.

Functions of the program:

• Ability to perform load tests for JDBC connections, FTP, LDAP, SOAP, SOAP, JMS, POP3, IMAP, HTTP and TCP.
  
• Generation of dynamic HTML-reports.
  
• Working in a multithreaded mode.
• Data caching, analysis and offline playback of test results.
