Sound volume control (system mixer) with a logarithmic scale.

Allows you to smoothly adjust the actual volume of the sound, unlike the standard volume control, which only adjusts the amplitude of the audio signal.

The program can also be switched to the classic volume change mode.

It is known that people perceive the sound volume not as the amplitude of sound oscillations, but their power. And, if the amplitude of sound oscillations changes linearly, then the volume (power) of the sound changes NELINEARLY according to the logarithmic law.

This phenomenon can be observed in the operation of the standard Windows volume control (mixer), because it regulates the AMPLITUDE of the sound signal at the sound card output.

So, moving the slider at the top of the ruler does not change the sound volume much, and moving the slider at the bottom of the ruler has a very strong effect on the volume.
