AstroSynthesis

AstroSynthesis is a generator of star systems in a three-dimensional sector with a given volume. The program generates entire star systems together with planets and planet satellites. It can give the orbits of the planets and simulate their motion, as well as the rotation of the planet around its axis. In this case the mutual gravitational influence is not taken into account, the planet simply moves along a predetermined orbit, the parameters of which can also be set or changed manually. For planets, it is possible to generate a surface texture, the presence of which makes the rotation of the planet especially noticeable.

Also generated the names of the stars and their planets, the names, that is, the words are generated from a file containing separate syllables. It is possible to import real, not generated data from the catalog Hipparcos in CSV format, which can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website, followed by viewing the stars, editing them and adding a planetary system to the star.
