A fast and reliable web browser that uses the Chromium engine as its foundation. It offers a number of options to protect personal information, and provides a safer environment for visiting web sites on the Internet.

Being based on Chromium, the browser has a familiar interface and set of features, and is compatible with all extensions from the Google catalog.

Avira Scout comes with a set of pre-installed extensions like Privacy Badger, HTTPS Everywhere and Avira Browser Safety. It protects user privacy by blocking various trackers and allows the use of the more secure HTTPS protocol.

Next to the address bar, you can find a button which, when clicked, reveals the Security Control Panel. In this panel, you can see the number and list of trackers blocked on the current site, as well as the status of that site. It will help you bypass potentially dangerous and unwanted websites.

The browser also offers several surfing modes. You can select a mode from the second tab in the security panel. More experienced users can manually set the best security settings.
