AviSub is a simple but robust program that allows you to apply up to three streams of subtitles to a single AVI video file and convert videos to DivX/XviD format. It does not need to be installed and is very easy to use. First of all you need to choose an AVI file and subtitles in one of the supported formats: srt, sub, txt or vobsub. Once you have chosen everything you need, you can proceed to adjusting the appearance of the subtitles.
AviSub allows you to change the font, size, style and position of the text on the screen, add background and stroke, and select a subtitle language. If for some reason the subtitles are not loaded correctly, the program will inform you about it. In most cases the problem could be with the font size, so reducing the size could solve the problem. When all the settings are done, the program will start processing and outputting the new file. It usually takes a little time, although it depends on the size of the video file.
