A simple program that monitors the battery status of a laptop or uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and displays the information collected about it.
After a simple installation, the program welcomes the user with a simple interface. Various details about the battery including power source, status, remaining charge and approximate runtime, total computer runtime and battery life, battery capacity, etc. are available.
You can get more information through the information menu. Here you can find the name of the device, serial number, nominal capacity, number of recharge cycles, voltages, etc. All of this information BatteryMon can write to a log, which can then be analyzed.
In addition to just collecting information, this program can do something else. For example, it can notify the user if the battery charge/voltage has dropped below a certain value or if the temperature/discharge rate has exceeded a certain level. There are two ways to be notified: a pop-up message and sending an email. It also records this event in the log.
The program also has a mini mode. In this mode, it leaves a bar on the desktop that shows the level of battery charge. And if you hover your cursor over this bar, you can see the percentage of charge, status, and volts.
