BruteShark

BruteShark is a powerful utility for processing and investigating network traffic (mostly PCAP files). It includes tools for: password extraction, network mapping, TCP session reconstruction, extraction of encrypted password hashes, etc.

About the program

The main purpose of this program is to provide security specialists and network administrators with a powerful tool for analyzing network traffic in order to identify vulnerable spots that can be used by potential attackers to gain access to important network segments.

BruteShark is available in two versions: as a Windows application with a graphical interface, and as a command-line utility that runs on Windows and Linux.

This program is able to:

• Extract and encode logins and passwords (HTTP, FTP, Telnet, IMAP, SMTP, etc.);
• Extract authentication hashes and crack them using Hashcat (Kerberos, NTLM, CRAM-MD5, HTTP-Digest, etc.);
• Build a visual network diagram;
• Retrieve DNS queries;
• Reconstruct all TCP and UDP and sessions;
• Extract files.
