CommView for WiFi is a special version of CommView designed for capturing and analyzing network packets on wireless 802.11a/b/g networks. It acquires information from the wireless network adapter and decodes the data that it analyzes.
With CommView for WiFi, you can see a list of network connections and IP statistics and examine individual packets. Packets can be decrypted using user-defined WEP or WPA-PSK keys and are decoded down to the lowest layer with full analysis of common protocols. Full access to raw data is provided. Captured packets can be saved to a file for later analysis. A flexible filtering system allows you to drop packets you don't want, or capture only the packets you want. Customizable alerts let you notify the user of important events, such as suspicious packets, high network loads, or unknown addresses. You can use the Packet Generator to edit and transmit packets through the wireless adapter.
Supporting over 70 protocols, CommView for WiFi allows you to examine captured packets in detail using a convenient, tree-like display of protocol layers and packet headers. In addition, it provides an open interface to connect third-party protocol decoding modules.
CommView for WiFi is a full-featured and very affordable tool for wireless network administrators, network security specialists, network programmers, or anyone who wants to see the entire traffic picture of the wireless network. This program runs on Windows 2000/XP/2003 and requires a compatible wireless network adapter.
