darktable is a cross-platform photo editor and cataloger for Windows.

This project is open source and can be a good choice for processing and managing digital photos. Although it can't compete with such well-known programs as Adobe Lightroom, it can be a good choice for beginners (and not only) amateur photographers.

About the program

This software combines the functions of a photo converter/editor and a simple photo organizer. It allows you to build a collection of photos, catalog them all and then search it quickly and easily using different queries and filters. Photos can be rated, color coded, sorted by a variety of parameters, etc.

The program supports importing a wide range of image formats, including JPG, CR2, HDR, PFM among many others. Export works just as well. Not only can images be saved in JPEG, PNG, TIFF, PPM, PFM, EXR and other formats, but you can also generate web albums for Flick and web galleries in HTML to publish to websites.

But the most important thing about darktable is its digital photo editing and processing capabilities. It does almost all the basic manipulations: cropping, inverting, color and light correction, optical distortion correction, retouching, chromatic aberration correction - just to mention a few.

The program also allows you to impose effects, watermarks, frames, add grain, as well as apply various filters. In addition, it gives you all the information you need about the file and you can view your photos in a slide show.
