The editor also has a function for comparing two different documents. There is an option for synchronous scrolling and highlighting differences in color for easier visual comparison. It has a powerful text search and replace function using regular expressions.

For greater efficiency, the editor is capable of recording and playing back the mouse and keyboard actions you perform. In addition, it offers a set of macros.

If you are working on a large project, EmEditor Portable can save a work session, including program settings and open documents. When you start the editor and load the desired session, you can immediately pick up where you left off.
