Evolution is an e-mail client ported to Windows from the Linux operating system.

Evolution can compete with Microsoft Outlook. The fact is that it has a similar set of features, allows to work with mail, contacts and calendar, and is very easy to use. Moreover, it is well known to many Linux users because it is part of many Linux distributions by default.

It supports all major mail protocols such as IMAP, SMTP, POP3 and others with TLS authentication and can work with Microsoft Exchange Server, Novell GroupWise, and Kolab.

It's also worth adding that Evolution supports message filtering, which makes finding messages much easier, as well as setting tags: "Personal", "Important", "Read", etc. Also, the program allows you to filter out spam and other unwanted messages, as well as suspicious messages.

Other features include the ability to subscribe to newsletters and read from newsgroups, the ability to work offline, an address book for working with contacts, a built-in calendar and an organizer for creating notes and planning things to do.
