Fax Voip Windows Fax Service Provider (Fax Voip FSP) allows Microsoft Fax and the Windows Fax and Scan application, which are built into Windows, to send and receive T.38 and audio (over G.711 codec) faxes using your VoIP (SIP or H.323) infrastructure at no additional cost.
Windows Fax Service and the Windows Fax and Scan application are integrated fax software included in all versions of Windows. Microsoft Fax is an extensible fax platform that can be used to deploy shared fax resources within your organization. Users within an organization can establish a connection to a remote fax printer on a network fax server and send and receive faxes using shared fax devices hosted on the server, as well as use local fax devices attached to their computers. Fax administrators can configure, manage, and monitor these shared fax resources. Centralized server-based management of shared fax devices means easier management and maintenance, as well as lower cost. Fax users can send and receive faxes without the need for manual fax machines, saving time and effort.
Fax Voip FSP replaces the standard Microsoft Modem Device Provider with the Fax Voip T.38/G.711FAX Device Provider. This allows the most efficient use of the Windows fax service. In particular, ECM (Error Correction) is supported. Also the 'busy' signal is correctly detected. Using a Fax Service Provider (FSP) instead of Virtual COM Ports and modems greatly increases the reliability of your fax system.
Fax Voip FSP allows the Windows Fax and Scan application to receive Caller ID and Caller ID (DID) - via Routing Information.
Support for Simultaneous SIP registrations and Call Routing makes your system the most flexible, and allows you to work simultaneously with multiple SIP and H.323 operators.
The Mail-to-Fax feature allows you to send faxes directly from your email application. The text of the e-mail message will be displayed on the front page of the fax, while any attached documents (e.g. PDF, TIFF or TXT) will be converted into additional fax pages. A fax can be sent to multiple recipients, and different types of e-mail attachments can be mixed.
The Fax Voip FSP routing extension allows incoming faxes to be routed based on Caller ID and DID, using the following routing methods for incoming faxes: send to e-mail, save to folder, print. Custom routing of incoming faxes makes it easy to add any routing functions with a custom application that launches after receiving a fax.
Routing methods for outgoing faxes: email delivery notification, save to folder, print allow outgoing faxes to be routed based on the recipient's fax number, the user account that sent the fax, and whether the fax was delivered successfully or unsuccessfully. Custom outbound fax routing allows you to easily add any routing features with a custom application that launches after the fax is sent.
Fax Voip FSP has been successfully tested with YouMagic, Telfin, Multiphone, T38FAX, CALLCentric, babyTEL and many other IP telephony carriers.
