A program for Windows designed to extract music from audio discs and convert audio files into various formats.
It supports a large list of popular audio formats, including AAC, AIF, BONK, VOC, FLAC, MP3, MP4, OGG, AU, WAV, CDA, WMA and more. It also offers a number of encoders to choose from: Bonk Audio Encoder, FAAC MP4/AAC Encoder, FLAC Audio Encoder, LAME MP3 Encoder, Ogg Vorbis Encoder, Windows Media Audio Encoder and Windows Wave File Output.
When extracting music from a disc, fre:ac looks at the CDDB for track information, automatically filling in missing information (artist, song title, album, year, genre, etc.). Of course you can edit this information manually too. The converter can also rename files by a specified mask using information from the tags.
You can convert and rip tracks in batch mode. The program also has a number of options for file management. For example, automatically delete the original files after conversion, overwrite the input file, convert all tracks to a single file, etc.
It should also be noted that fre:ac has a built-in audio player with the simplest functionality. It plays your tracks before conversion to select the necessary ones and removes the unwanted ones.
It is a simple program with which you can copy music from the disc to your computer and convert it to the desired format without loss of quality.
