HDDScan

HDDScan is an application designed to scan storage devices and identify problematic sectors. The software features the ability to save and view reports to keep track of trends.

HDDScan features

1. Supports DE/SATA/SCSI hard drives, external HDDs, Fire-Wire, SSD cards and flash drives.

2. Four types of testing:

• linear verification;
• linear reading;
• linear writing;
• Artificial random read testing.

3. Start S.M.A.R.T. testing, and process and review S.M.A.R.T. -data.

4. Tracking the heating temperature of the devices.

5. Adjustment of additional options: change of power parameters, acoustic mode.

Compatibility

The application works on laptops and computers with Windows 2000 Service Pack 4; XP Service Pack 2 and 3; Vista; Seven; Server 2003 and 2008. The interface is in English. The application is not intended to be run on a device with the "Read Only" feature enabled. Distributed as FreeWare and works without installation just download it to the device and run.
