ICE ECC

ICE ECC is a utility for checking and repairing corrupt files. ICE ECC allows you to protect your important files from damage using Reed-Solomon codes. Did you know that typical CD-R/DVD-R disks start to deteriorate after only a few years of storage? The ICE ECC is the solution to this problem. Before you burn your data to CD-R/DVD-R you should protect it from degradation with ICE ECC. ICE ECC is easy to use.

To protect files from damage, select files and press "Create". ICE ECC will create file/files with error correction codes (.ecc) for the selected files. You can easily control the size and number of .ecc files. When you need to check if your files have been modified or damaged, simply select the .ecc file and click "Verify". ICE ECC will do an integrity analysis and tell you if the files have been damaged or lost. In this case, ICE ECC will be able to restore them automatically.
