Image for Windows is a program for backing up disk data. Allows you to back up everything on your hard drive, including files, programs, and the operating system. Backs up your data to an external drive (flash drive, hard disk drive), a computer on a local network, or CD/DVD/BD disks.
The program includes an easy-to-use wizard for creating a bootable disk. Booting from this disk you can create a backup image of a disk or virtual partition, or restore an image created earlier. The key component of Image for Windows is Shadow Copy Service (VSS) or PHYLock. It allows you to use your computer while backing up, and it eliminates problems that may occur when copying a disk/partition in use. This program runs on Windows, but can create copies of partitions from DOS or Linux, as well as back up partitions protected with third-party programs.
