Metrotwit

Metrotwit is a free Twitter client for Windows.

The program allows you to:

• automatically download images from your hard drive using the TwitPic service
• Automatically shorten web addresses with a guest or manually set up Bit.ly account
• do not enter login and password from your twitter account directly into the client (unlike TweetDeck)
• correctly view user profiles, which were filled in using Russian and other characters (unlike TweetDeck)
• do not enter subscriber's nickname in full
• the client shows a dropdown list of matches when entering the @ symbol and the first character
• see the date of account registration (unlike TweetDeck)
• use TwitLonger if a tweet exceeds the 140 tweet threshold (similar to TweetDeck's Deck.ly)
• view photos from specialized hosting sites (tested with TwitPic and Imgur) without a browser
• view YouTube videos without a browser (including addresses from Youtu.be)
• work with lists, search, add user lists, user profile or search as a column in the main window along with the feed of posts and mentions
• choose between retweeting old and new types
• view long versions of Bit.ly, Goo.gl, Ow.ly, J.mp, T.co.
