Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Management Studio Express is a simple graphical tool for database management.

This is a program designed to work with SQL Server 2005 Express Edition and SQL Server 2005 Express Edition with extended services. It also allows you to manage DBMS SQL Server kernel instances that were created using any version of SQL Server 2005.

Please note that Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Management Studio Express cannot be used to manage SQL Server Analysis Services, Integration Services, Notification Services, Reporting Services, or the SQL Server Agent or SQL Server 2005 Mobile Edition.

Compatibility

The program is compatible with Windows 2000 Service Pack 4, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1, and Windows XP Service Pack 2.

To run SSMSE you will need:

• A computer with a 600 MHz Intel Pentium III processor or higher (a processor clocked at least 1 GHz is recommended).
• At least 192 MB of RAM, (at least 512 MB recommended).
• At least 100 MB of disk space.

Note that to install the program, you must have administrator rights and install Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0. In addition, for 32-bit platforms, you will need to install the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
