Paint.NET

Paint.NET is a free graphics editor. It is suitable both for creating illustrations from scratch and for processing ready-made images and digital photos. It is an excellent choice for those who need a simpler graphics editor than Photoshop, but it lets you do most tasks.

To install this editor correctly, you need to have the latest version of the .NET Framework installed.

Before installing, you can choose the language (there is Russian) and the installation mode itself: Express or Custom. The first one uses the default settings and is recommended for most users, while the second one allows you to change some installation parameters and configure file association.

Paint.NET has a slightly unfamiliar, but simple and user-friendly interface that any user will quickly understand. Panels with tools, palette, layers and action log are not fixed and can be placed at any convenient part of the editor window or even outside it (including on another monitor).

This graphics editor offers all the tools you need to work with graphics. There are tools for selection, moving, filling, drawing, creating shapes and lines, etc. It also lets you resize the image and canvas, rotate and mirror images.

Support for layers allows you to create complex illustrations and perform non-destructive image processing. Layers can be deleted, moved, duplicated, and blending modes can be changed.

Paint.NET also has image correction tools. You can use them to adjust levels, invert colors, adjust saturation/tint/brightness/contrast, make images black and white, etc. In addition, the editor includes a set of filters and effects that can be applied to illustrations and photos.
