Scintilla Open source editing component for Microsoft Windows and Linux with GTK+. Its main purpose is to edit the source code of programs. It has a number of special features for this purpose:
- Displaying line numbers.
- Collapsing blocks of text (classes, functions, loops, etc.).
- Syntax highlighting for different programming languages and data markup, and different fonts can be used simultaneously, both monospace and proportional.
- Automatic indentation setting.
- Highlighting of paired or unpaired (unclosed) brackets.
- Auto completion of types, functions and variables names used in the file.
- Tooltips for function's parameters.
- Setting bookmarks.
- Unicode support.
