Screencast-O-Matic is a simple and easy-to-use program for recording video from your computer screen and webcam, which also allows you to capture sound from a microphone. With it you can record training or demonstration videos, upload them to the Internet or save them to disk.
This program has an original minimalistic interface. All the controls are gathered in one single panel located right under the selection frame. You can manually select the area of the screen you want to record, choose one of the suggested resolutions, or capture the whole screen.
Screencast-O-Matic allows you to simultaneously record video from a connected webcam and audio from a microphone, so you can comment on what's happening on the screen, add explanations, etc.
Recorded video can be uploaded directly to YouTube or Screencast-O-Matic.com, or just saved to your hard drive. MP4, AVI, FLV, and animated GIF formats are supported.
After recording, Screencast-O-Matic allows you to superimpose text comments on the video, change its resolution, and apply various effects to the mouse cursor to make it easier to follow its movements and actions.
