ShotTheScreen is a program for taking screenshots and saving them in various graphical formats. The user can choose the format BMP, JPG or PNG. Of course, you can take a screenshot just by pressing the PrintScreen key on your keyboard, but after that you will have to manually paste it into an image editor and save it.
Also, you can only take a screenshot of the whole screen in this way. ShotTheScreen allows you to automatically take a screenshot at user-specified intervals or by pressing a keyboard shortcut. You can take a screenshot either of the entire screen or of a specific user-defined area of the screen. After the screenshot is taken, it is automatically saved in a user-specified folder. You can specify the folder by specifying its full path and name, by selecting the desired folder in the dialog box or by simply dragging the folder or file from the folder into the appropriate field in the program window. The program can be minimized to a small icon on the Taskbar, which will be located next to the system clock.
ShotTheScreen is small and does not take a lot of system resources. The program does not require installation or any registration.
