Sudoku Skill Meter

Sudoku Skill Meter is a program that invites you to solve a number of tasks and compare your result with that of other participants.

Currently there are 100 tasks of average and above average difficulty level. All tasks have a single solution and are generated using a "fair" algorithm based on a random number generator.

Before being submitted to the user, the original task is transformed without changing its difficulty, so the user can make several attempts to improve his or her score. At each attempt he will be offered a new version of the same task.

The time of the game is fixed by the server clock, so it may slightly differ from what the user sees on his device.

The rating of a user in a particular game is calculated as a ratio of the time averaged over all players over the past 30 days to the time spent by a particular participant. For example, a rating of 1.5 will mean that the participant solved the task 1.5 times faster than the average for that game. A rating of 0.5 means that the task took twice as long to complete as the average participant.

A participant's overall rating is determined as the average rating for all games in which he or she participated.
