TeXmacs A platform for preparing and editing documents with special features for scientists. The goal of the system is to create a unified platform for editing structured documents with different types of content (text, illustrations, mathematical formulas, interactive content, etc.). The display engine uses high-quality layout algorithms to provide the user with professionally decorated documents that can be printed or displayed from a portable computer.
The system includes a text editor with support for editing formulas, simple technical illustrations, and a program for creating presentations.
Users can create new visualization styles, new macros using the Scheme programming language.
