UPS Assistant is a program for monitoring the status of an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) connected to your computer via USB or COM port and supporting the Megatec/Centralion communication protocol (Ippon, Mustek, Sven, Inelt UPSs).
UPS Assistant has a possibility of sending e-mail reports about the state of the UPS with preset periodicity and warning about emergency situations by e-mail, as well as by means of network messages in the local network. The program has a possibility to receive reports via Web by means of HTTP-server, turn on/off the sound alarm of UPS, test the UPS battery, transfer the computer to stand-by/sleep mode or turn off the computer, when the battery voltage decreases under the tolerance level or after a set time interval. It is possible to automatically turn off the UPS (with preset 1...60 minutes delay) during emergency shutdown or hibernation of the computer and then automatically turn on the UPS when line power is restored (this command is not supported by all UPSs).
UPS Assistant is designed to run under Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista (x86 and x64), Windows 7/Windows Server 2008 R2 (x86 and x64), Windows 8/Windows Server 8 (x86 and x64) only.
