Warsow is a cyber sports computer game in the three-dimensional first-person shooter genre. Developed by a group of enthusiasts on the QFusion game engine, which, in turn, is a modified version of the id Tech 2 engine. The game's source code is completely open-source, but the resources are proprietary. Warsow was specially created for multiplayer game, but there is a possibility of playing with bots in single-player mode.
The concept of the game is a mixture of such iconic online games as Unreal Tournament, QuakeWorld and Challenge ProMode Arena modification for Quake 3. Preference was given to animated graphics, with the use of cel-shaders, which makes the game vivid with excellent visibility of opponents and levels. Bots have appeared in Warsow since the earliest versions. Since version 0.4, they began to do almost all of the "tricks" and combinations of movements that are accounted for in the game.
