Zotero is an intuitive program whose main purpose is to help you collect, catalog, and manage bibliographic lists. It is intended for people working on scholarly works, or simply collecting citations and clippings from articles, books, interviews, and other sources.
This is a program with a user-friendly and simple interface that makes adding, managing and reading clippings comfortable and pleasant. It is divided into several panels: for managing categories, working with the citation list, and viewing details about the entry.
You can create as many categories as you want to better organize everything, and when adding a new citation, you can choose its type ("Book", "Document", "Journal Article", "Artwork", "Blog Post", to "Email", "Map", "Film", "Manuscript", etc.). You can also fill in information about the entry, including its author, publisher, publication date, language, source, library number, etc. Using the notes, you can add your own thoughts and comments to the citation, useful links, or anything else.
The program is also capable of importing citations from various formats, including XML, RIS, BIB, HTML, JSON, EDU, TXT, RDF and many others. And just the same, you can export your entire collection to different formats.
