10 March 2020

Gamers are special people. Ordinary monitors are not suitable for them. This forced Acer to create Predator XB273GXbmiiprzx and Predator XB253QGXbmiiprzx. The diagonal of the models is 27 and 24.5 inches respectively.

However, it's not about size. Both novelties support a refresh rate of 240 Hz. This is much steeper than the usual 60 Hz. Such products are rare (not everyone is familiar with even 120 Hz and 144 Hz).

240 Hz allows you to get a perfectly smooth picture. Adaptive synchronization saves you from image tearing. There are two such systems - VESA Adaptive-Sync and Nvidia G-Sync.

The response time of 1 ms deserves special attention. Want more? The index can be reduced to 0.1 ms thanks to the OverDrive technology. All you have to do is turn it on.

With an extended dynamic range, it's all good. The Predator XB273GXbmiiprzx and Predator XB253QGXbmiiprzx are made to the VESA Display HDR 400 standard.

Contrast is up to 1000:1 and maximum brightness is 400 cd/m2. The coverage of color space sRGB is 99%. The screens show more than 16 million colors.

Viewing angles are traditional - 178 degrees vertically and horizontally. In addition, it is possible to change the orientation - from portrait to landscape.

The interfaces are as follows: DisplayPort 1.2a, headphone output, four USB 3.0 and a pair of HDMI 2.0b. As for prices, they will be announced later. Supposedly, the 24.5-inch version will cost $430. For the 27-inch version will have to shell out about $500.
