According to the publication "Izvestia", Roskomnadzor plans to check Facebook, which may well result in the blocking of the popular social network in our country. According to the head of Roskomnadzor Alexander Zharov, the agency plans to check Facebook by the end of the year. In addition, at the last meeting with representatives of the social network, held in February, the requirements that the company must meet were already discussed. We are talking about the localization of personal data of Russian users and removal of the information banned in Russia. Zharov also noted that the company is already far behind in meeting the set deadlines. The head of the agency stressed that the rumors that Roskomnadzor has a "special attitude" and "lets Facebook get away with everything" are not true. Moreover, if none of the set requirements, or any of it is not met, or the state is not notified of the intention to take the necessary actions, the issue of blocking the largest social network will be discussed.
