Earlier we reported that Yandex indexed Google Docs, opening them for public access. The relevant information was submitted to Google for verification. Finally, the company published an official response.
Representatives of the search giant said that there were no failures in the work of Google Docs and all leaked documents are correctly indexed. According to them, the service is designed as "a secure collaboration tool". At the same time, search engines can index only those documents that were made public by their owners, or open for everyone to search and view on the Internet via a link published in the network.
At the same time, Google has recommended that all those who do not wish to open access to their documents to third parties change their file access settings and set the necessary restrictions.
