Huawei begins production of new Hisilicon Kirin 970 processors

It is likely that many have already heard that the new flagships from Huawei will receive processors of the new generation - the Hisilicon Kirin 970. Earlier it was reported that their mass production will start only in September. However, it seems that the Chinese manufacturer has decided to get to work even ahead of schedule.If we believe the rumors, the new eight-core processor from Huawei will contain four cores ARM Cortex-A73 and another four - ARM Cortex-A53. However, some sources report that the ARM Cortex-A73 can be replaced by a more powerful ARM Cortex-A75, which will provide a performance increase of 22%. As for the Hisilicon Kirin 970 clock frequency, it will be 2.8-3.0 GHz. In addition, the processor will be equipped with a Cat. 12 LTE modem and is built on a 10-nm process. Representatives of Huawei stress that the Kirin 970 will be the world's first chip with artificial intelligence. It is worth adding that the first gadget equipped with Hisilicon Kirin 970 will be the new flagship of Huawei - Mate 10. The smartphone should debut as early as October 16 this year and will receive, in addition to the new processor, a frameless display on the entire front panel, a dual camera on both the back and the front, as well as a camera with 3D-scanning capabilities.
