The fact is that in the near future the browser will get the ability to add web applications to the desktop of mobile devices. The thing is that soon the browser will get the ability to add web applications to the desktop of mobile devices. The fact is that the developers from Mozilla intend to add support for web application manifests to their browser. This will make it possible to work with progressive web applications. They, in turn, are similar to the usual mobile applications, but are displayed in the browser. The innovation, however, will place icons on the home screen for quick launch to the aforementioned web applications. When visiting sites working under the HTTPS protocol and having a valid manifest, in the browser Firefox for Android, users will see a new icon in the address bar. By clicking on it, you can add an icon of a progressive web app to your home screen and then launch it at any time, with a single tap on your smartphone or tablet screen. At the same time, it will be presented as a separate item on the switch panel between the active programs. This feature will become available to everyone in the Mozilla Firefox for Anroid version number 58. Of course, at the same time the introduction of other innovations is planned. We will be able to get acquainted with them in practice a little later.
