Introduced a 15-gram, 1TB portable SSD

What progress has been made. Data used to be transferred on floppy disks. Then came flash drives. Now it's all about pocket-sized SSDs. Some of these solutions are surprisingly small.

A prime example is Buffalo's SSD-PSMU3. It is a portable model of incredible weight. The gadget weighs less than 15 grams. You won't even feel it in your hand.

The size is 33 × 9.5 × 59.5mm. The SSD-PSMU3 fits almost anywhere. No problem with transportation. It is protected according to military standard MIL-STD 810G.

Said means that the product is not afraid of falls from a height of one meter. The case is reinforced. Other specifications also inspire respect. The capacity of the device reaches almost 1 TB.

There are 120, 250, 480 and 960GB versions to choose from. The latter is priced at $210 U.S. dollars. The others are cheaper (for the basic one they ask $55).

SSD-PSMU3 guarantees a transfer rate of 430 Mbytes per second. You will not have to worry about security. Claims support for AES encryption. The key length is 256 bits.

S.M.A.R.T. will keep you informed about the "health" of the device. There is also a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Micro-B port. To connect to a PC are cables USB Type-C and USB Type-A.
