As many have probably heard, SpaceX has announced its intention to cover the entire planet with high-speed Internet access. It seems that the state corporation Roscosmos decided not to stand aside and announced the creation of a domestic competitor to such a large-scale project.The state corporation is preparing to present a project to create a national system of covering the entire planet with high-speed Internet access. The system will be a group of satellites and stations interconnected with each other. It will be designed to provide a continuous channel of communication for unmanned transport, internet of things, as well as secure data transmission. It is reported that the presentation of the project will be held on May 22 this year. Igor Komarov - the general director of "Roscosmos" will speak at it. It is expected that about 299 billion rubles will be allocated for implementation of the project, in connection with which a consortium will be created with participation of "Roscosmos", Vnesheconombank and some other organizations.
