At Barcelona's Mobile World Congress 2019, Western Digital showed off its 1 terabyte microSD. According to the company, this memory card is the fastest card currently on the market.
The SanDisk Extreme UHS-I MicroSDXC is a memory card suitable for photo and video data. It can be used in smartphones or tablets, devices such as action cameras or drones.
MicroSD transfers data at speeds of up to 160 MB/s. Representatives of the company report that this speed is about twice as fast as existing UHS-I cards available in stores. This is evidenced by the A2 marking.
The SanDisk Extreme can also be purchased in a smaller 512GB capacity.
The memory card may be pre-ordered now from the official SanDisk website at SanDisk.com. Available capacities are 1TB and 512GB.
The "fastest cards" will begin selling in April. The SanDisk Extreme UHS-I MicroSDXC will cost $450 for 1TB and $200 for 512GB.
