Vivo has unveiled two new smartphones in its NEX line. The devices boast completely frameless screens, without a notch in the style of the iPhone X.The new Vivo smartphones have a completely frameless design. Their displays are reportedly 91.24% of the front panel area, versus 82.9% for the Apple iPhone X, 84.2% for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and 90% for the Lenovo Z5. The device got an Ultra FullView Display screen with a Super AMOLED matrix, 6.59 inches and a resolution of 2316x1080 pixels. The framelessness of the display causes obvious problems with the location of the front camera and speaker. But here Vivo has found an elegant way to surprise everyone. The fact is that the front camera with 8 megapixels and f/2.0 aperture is hidden inside the body and automatically slides out of the top of it when you activate the shooting mode. As for the speaker, it can replace the smartphone display itself. This was facilitated by the introduction of technology Screen SoundCasting.Another nice feature of the flagship from Vivo is a fingerprint scanner, built into the screen. It is worth noting, however, that boasts a screen fingerprint sensor can only the senior model of the smartphone - NEX Ultimate. The NEX Ultimate has a powerful Snapdragon 845 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of permanent memory, depending on the package. The junior version of the smartphone is equipped a little more modestly. It got a Snapdragon 710 processor, 6 GB of RAM and a built-in storage capacity of 128 GB. Both gadgets have a dual rear camera with the main module of 12 megapixels, optical stabilization and aperture f/1.8 and auxiliary module, with a resolution of 5 megapixels and aperture f/2.4. Also, the devices boast support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 / 5 GHz) 2x2 MIMO and Bluetooth 5 LE, Dual 4G VoLTE when dual SIM cards are installed, GPS / GLONASS receiver, USB Type-C port and, importantly, a traditional headphone jack. The smartphone battery has a capacity of 4000 mAh and support for fast charging technology. Both smartphones measure 162x77x7.98 mm and weigh 199 g. Both run Android 8.1 with Energy UI. The junior version of the Vivo NEX will cost $600, while the NEX Ultimate will cost $700 or $780, for models with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, respectively.
