ABBYY FineReader is a universal program designed to recognize documents. It helps to recognize any texts, photos, scans, PDF files, and convert them into electronic or text files that can be edited.

Program description

In the course of its work ABBYY FineReader:

1. Scans a document, recognizes it and converts it into an electronic format.
2. Saves the resulting file in one of the supported formats, such as PDF and PDF/A.
3. Sends the copy to one of the editors: PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, OpenOffice.org Writer, WordPerfect, etc.
4. Preserves the original document: the original text, page titles and page labels, footnotes, headers and tables.

Good quality and accuracy of the result is achieved with the help of modern Adaptive Dokument Recognition Technolody. The program is used to create electronic books and supports popular formats such as ePub, fb2, and others.
