AMD64 CPU Assistant

AMD64 CPU Assistant is a program designed to monitor core temperatures of AMD64 K8 processors (Socket 754/S1/940/F1207/939/AM2/ASB1/S1g1) via the built-in core thermal sensor, showing core temperature, processor load and memory state in tracked view.

AMD64 CPU Assistant features

• Core (dual core) temperature monitoring for AMD64 K8 processors (Socket 754/S1/940/F1207/939/AM2/ASB1/S1g1) on the basis of built-in core thermal sensor (numeric tray icon);
• processor load monitoring (graphical icon in the tray);
• monitoring memory load (tray icon);
• displaying detailed information about the processor;
• logging of the monitoring data into a log file;
• setting memory timings for onboard AMD64 controller (for DDR I and DDR II based systems);
• process manager with the possibility to terminate, suspend and wake up the process;
• readout of motherboard sensors (for ITE IT87xx chips).

The program uses its own driver to access ports and MSR registers for NT-based systems AMD64CAx86.sys/AMD64CAx64.sys, which is installed and launched at the first start of the program without user intervention by AMD64 CPU Assistant itself (this first start requires administrator rights, the driver is extracted from the program body).
