Chess4Net Skype

Chess4Net Skype is a program for playing chess over the Internet. It can be used as a standalone application (socket version for Microsoft Windows or Linux) or as a plug-in for Internet messengers such as Skype, Miranda, QIP Infium, Trillian and &RQ. Two varieties of chess are supported: classical chess and the PP Random Chess variant. Chess4Net supports time control "sudden death" and control with time incrementation.

It is also possible to give your partner a handicap in time. If you want to improve your skills, you can use the practice game mode. You can also invite other contacts to follow the process of your game with your partner in real time (game relay mode).
