CyberLink PowerDirector is a very powerful video editor that offers a set of advanced yet easy-to-use tools. It has three operating modes "Full Feature Editor" - full video editor, "Easy Editor" - simplified, and "Slideshow Creator" - slideshow editor. The mode is selected when you start the program.

Launching the editor in the simplified mode, you'll be greeted by a step-by-step wizard that will help you import video and photos and select the visual style (Broadway, Original, Fast Motion, Slow Motion, etc.).

In this mode you can capture video from external devices to the timeline, insert objects into the video, apply visual special effects, add transition effects between scenes, overlay text, mix audio, record from the microphone over video, add subtitles and chapters.

The video editor has an intuitive interface, does not load the computer heavily and is great for home use.
