Diskmon is a simple program designed to monitor and document any activity on your computer's hard drive.
The program is portable. That means you don't need to install it. Just download the archive, unzip it and run the executable file. It is worth noting that there are two of them in the archive: for the 32- and 64-bit versions of the operating system.
Diskmon does not affect disk performance at all and does not distract you during its work, doing its job sitting in the Windows system tray. As for monitoring itself, it is up to the user to decide which events to log. The monitoring log can be exported to an ASCII file. The speed of events can also be configured.
Events are displayed in a list. Each event is accompanied by detailed information: number, time, request, device, result, etc. At the same time, the program measures the duration of the event in milliseconds and the exact time of initialization.
