EF Commander Portable is a Windows file manager with many features designed to make working with files more efficient and convenient. Like most file managers, EF Commander has a dual-pane interface with a command line and function keys that make it easy to work with files and folders. EF Commander has an impressive arsenal of features and options, providing its users with everything they need. First of all, its interface supports tabs. Each of the two panes can have its own set of tabs, allowing you to quickly switch between different folders depending on the task at hand. EF Commander has a built-in file viewer that supports all common file formats and a tagged audio player that can play MP3, Ogg/Vorbis, FLAC, WMA and WAV files. This file manager also includes an archiver that can handle up to 20 different types of archives. EF Commander can be used to manage files on a remote FTP server. To do this, the program has a built-in FTP-client that supports the secure protocol FTPS (SSL/TLS). It also has a function for synchronizing two different folders locally or over the network. EF Commander also has a text and HEX code editor, a tool for splitting and merging files, and a hash sum calculator with the ability to compare the resulting value and the original one.
